Welcome to the official website of Highway 15/Perth Road Intersection Improvement. The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) has retained WSP Canada Inc. to undertake a Planning, Preliminary Design and Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) Study for the Highway 15/Perth Road Intersection Improvement, located in Franktown, approximately 12 km south of Carleton Place, Ontario.
The study will include a review of the operation of this intersection to address concerns such as traffic delays on Perth Road accessing northbound Highway 15. The study may also include a review of the sight distances, existing highway geometrics, entrances, utilities, and drainage features. Improvements to this intersection may include signalization or a roundabout, approach road realignments, new illuminations, new turning lanes, and/or closures.
The study will follow the approved environmental planning process for Group ‘B’ projects under the MTO Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) for Provincial Transportation Facilities and Municipal Expressways (2024) with the opportunity for public input throughout.
